Discover NASR’s Commitment to Community and Care
Learn how NASR’s Eid lunch events unite families, offering support and joy while strengthening community bonds and fostering meaningful celebrations.

What we do
We organise events for Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adhaa, inviting individuals and families who are isolated and alone, or facing financial challenges to come together, enjoy a warm meal, and share in a day filled with kindness. These events often include:
• Delicious meals for adults and children
• Fun activities for kids—games, activities, sports, arts & crafts and more
• Gifts or goodie bags to brighten their day
• A chance to connect with others in a welcoming, judgment-free space

Why It Matters
For many families, especially those navigating financial instability, even a simple lunch can feel out of reach. Our mission is to change that—if only for a day. These events help lift spirits, build community, and most importantly, bring joy where it’s needed most.
“After 17 years of spending Eid alone in Blackburn, this is the first time I had the opportunity to spend this day with others.”
– A grateful Muslim sister
